Brewed by St. Sixtus Abbey in Westvleteren, Westvleteren 8, with a distinctive blue cap, is a brown trappist beer. As rare as its big sister voted best beer in the world, it is a difficult beer to taste because of its complexity. Her dress is brown and her head is plentiful. A sweet nose, we find roasted malt, yeast. On the palate, roasted malt, black fruits, it remains a long time to end with bitterness.
